ATHENS, WV – Concord University’s football team has qualified for the NCAA playoffs. The Mountain Lions are preparing to play Kutztown University (PA) in a first-round game Saturday, Nov. 19.

The team will leave on Friday morning, Nov. 18, and CU fans are being called upon to help make the start of their post-season journey a memorable one.

Mountain Lions fans are invited toparticipate in a “CU Sendoff” to wish the football team good luck as it leaves campus at 9:15 a.m. Friday morning.

Concord fans are asked to line the street in front of the Carter Center to cheer on the Mountain Lions’ traveling party. It’s a great way to show support for the maroon and gray!

CU’s 48-40 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan last weekend gave the Mountain Lions their first WVIAC championship in 21 years and secured their first playoff appearance since 1992.

Concord’s game at Kutztown kicks off at 12 noon on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 102.3 The Ticket (WMTD, Hinton/ Princeton/ Beckley) starting with the “Mountain Lions Preview Show” at 11:30 a.m.
