Athens, W.Va. – Concord University Artist Lecture Series will host the Borealis Wind Quintet Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at 8 p.m. in the Main Theater of the Alexander Fine Arts Center.

The Quintet includes Katherine Fink on flute, Dan Culpepper on French horn, Kathryn Taylor on clarinet, Wayne Hileman on bassoon and Tamar Beach Wells on oboe. The Borealis Wind Quintet has been acclaimed as one of America’s preeminent chamber ensembles. The Quintet has also received numerous awards for its musical ability, including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and from Chamber Music America. They have appeared at Wolf Trap in Virginia, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Concert Hall, the Frick Museum in Pittsburgh and New York and various concert halls in the South, Midwest and West.

This tour engagement of the Borealis Wind Quintet is funded through the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation’s Mid-Atlantic Tours program in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program.
