Fraternity at CU Will “Take the Plunge” This Saturday, March 3 at the Bluestone Dam
Athens, W.Va. – Concord University’s Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity will be raising money for the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer Foundation by “taking the plunge,” literally, this Saturday, March 1, 11 a.m. at the Bluestone Dam, when members of the fraternity will be taking a dip in the Bluestone River … wearing swim trunks only.
Brian Henderson, member of the TKE fraternity, said that, “TKE is committed to honoring the memory of frater Reagan by raising money and awareness for this worthy cause. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer Foundation, which will be used for research. Our alumni members will be joining us in ‘the plunge,’ also.”
There are 22 members in the local fraternity from 10 states. The fraternity brothers are collecting donations from area businesses and residents; moreover, they will be accepting donations after “the plunge” at the Bluestone Dam. This is the fifth year the local fraternity has chosen this as a fundraising method. The TKE fraternity is a national fraternity that supports the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer Foundation as its philanthropic project.
