Concord University Percussion Ensemble to Perform Thursday, November 17

Athens, W.Va. - The Concord University percussion ensemble will present a free concert on Thursday, November 17 at 7 p.m. in the main theater of the Alexander Fine Arts Center on the campus of Concord University. The concert will be conducted by Dr. Pete Zambito, assistant professor of music.

The first half of the concert will be solo marimba performances by students and faculty. The second half will include selections performed by the percussion ensemble by composers Hause, Daughtrey and Zambito. The concert will include works by other composers including Heinrich Lichner, Mitchell Peters, Earl Hatch and Eric Ewazen.
