Entertainment Announced for Homecoming Banquet on Friday, October 7

Athens, W.Va. – Entertainment for the 2005 fall homecoming banquet will be the ConChords under the direction of Dr. Kelly Hudson, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Concord University.

The group consists of the following 22 students: Laura Elizabeth Auvil, Iaeger; Sherman Brown, Princeton; Cindy Chaffins, Bluefield, Va.; Jeremy Michael Craft, Roanoke, Va.; Charles Daniels Jr., Parkersburg; Trent Adam Estep, Summersville; Sara Golden, Rainelle; Ashley Hackney, Charleston; Arden Hamrick, Charles Town; Sarah Karnes, Princeton; Joan Landy, Naoma; Elizabeth Lee, Charles Town; James Leftwich, Hinton; Dewey E. Mullins Jr., Iaeger; Yuka Nakagawa, Ibaraki, Japan; Carli Ratliff, Oak Hill; Nikole J. Reed, Giles, Va.; Jose Ruiz, Stafford, Va.; Russell Stewart, Oceanna; Stephanie Tolley, Buena Vista, Va.; Dustin Z. Williams, Princeton; and James Workman, Princeton.

The banquet is slated for Friday, October 7 and begins with a reception at 5 p.m. in the Student Center television lounge with dinner following at 6 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6

6 p.m. – Homecoming parade on Vermillion Street, followed immediately by a bonfire in “The Valley” honoring the football team, cheerleaders, and members of the homecoming court

8 p.m. – Theatre production, “Antigone” (see rehearsal photos)

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7

Homecoming displays available for viewing on campus

11 a.m. – Groundbreaking ceremony for University Point, lawn in front of Science Building

5 p.m. – Alumni social in the television lounge located in the Student Center

6 p.m. – Fall alumni banquet in the Ballroom located in the Student Center. Reservations are required, please call 1-304-384-5348 or 1-304-384-6056. Reservations may also be e-mailed to: alumni@concord.edu

8 p.m. – Theatre production, “Antigone” (see rehearsal photos)

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8

9 a.m. – Alumni Executive Council meeting in the State Room

10 a.m. – 1 p.m. – University Bookstore will be open

10 a.m.-12 noon – Pine Trees Reception, Student Center Game Room

10 a.m. – Concord University sororities will hold their annual teas in their respective lounges

10 a.m. – 1955 and 1980 football team breakfast located in the Carter Center
