Public Service Announcement: Concord to Celebrate Sixth Annual Fall Commencement, Wednesday, December 15

Athens, W.Va. - Concord will be hosting the sixth annual fall commencement at 5 p.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in the Main Theater of the Alexander Fine Arts Center in Athens. This is the first commencement that will be held under the institution’s new name, Concord University.

According to Carolyn Cox, registrar, 154 students have applied for graduation and two students, Melody J. Dye from Bancroft, W.Va., and Tonya Leiann Hazelwood, from Princeton, W.Va., will be serving as valedictorians. Ms. Dye is majoring in comprehensive mathematics and will be receiving a bachelor of science degree and Ms. Hazelwood is majoring in administrative systems and will be receiving a bachelor of science in business administration.
