Public Service Announcement: Attention Future College Students, Concord College to Host “Mountain Lion” Open House, Saturday, March 27

Athens, W. Va. – Concord College will host its annual spring Mountain Lion Open House on Saturday, March 27, 2004. Registration for the event starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Alexander Fine Arts Center lobby.

The Mountain Lion Open House provides a unique opportunity for college-bound students to learn about financial aid, academic programs and meet some of the award-winning faculty who teach at the College.

Lunch will be provided at no charge to the college-bound students and their parents. Ambassadors—Concord College students who volunteer their time—will provide tours of the Athens campus, and share insights about life at Concord.

Michael Curry, Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid: “The Mountain Lion Open House will give any interested student a sound overview of all aspects of college life—the general level of academic rigor, a tour of the Campus Beautiful, face-to-face interaction with professors in the student’s areas of interest, direct financial aid counseling, and a last chance opportunity to get a free SAT prep. The food isn’t bad either!”

Students may register on-line at, click on “Admissions” then “Mountain Lion Open House Information.”
