Special Price on Tickets to Biltmore
Athens, W.Va. - The Concord College Alumni Office is offering special holiday tickets to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C., at a discounted rate!
The Estate is America's largest home, built in 1895 by Charles Vanderbilt. It is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The estate is a 250 room French chateau filled with art and antiques and surrounded by spectacular gardens. Award winning vintages are crafted from lush vineyards on the estate’s 8,000 acres.
Ever since Christmas Eve 1895, when George Vanderbilt opened Biltmore House, hospitality has been the estate's holiday hallmark. The season is greeted with elaborate decorations, including a majestic 35-foot tree in the Banquet Hall, hundreds of wreaths and poinsettias and miles of evergreen roping. Live music and more complete the experience. The tickets are good for a self-guided tour of the more than 60 carefully preserved rooms, gardens and winery, now decorated for the Christmas season. The estate has become famous for it's holiday décor.
Regular ticket prices are $39, but through the Alumni Office, you may obtain them at $25 each. A limited number is available, so call today! Tickets are good until December 31, 2002 for daylight tours of the Biltmore house, gardens, and winery. Transportation is extra.
