Date: October 26 & 27, 2001

Time: 9:00 am Friday to 9:00 am Saturday

Location: Concord College, Valley behind the College Center

Purpose: October 27, 2001, is National Make a Difference Day. Concord College organizations are working together on a fundraising event for Scotty’s Place. They are building a “Box City” where students from the organizations will be living in a box for 24 hours. They will be taking donations and raising money for Scotty’s Place. Scotty’s Place is a special needs camp for homeless children. Gamma Beta Phi is coordinating the event and making sure all donations go to Scotty’s Place.

Participants: Gamma Beta Phi, Inter-Fraternity Council, Panhellenic, Bonner Scholars and other Greek organizations on campus.

Special Note to the Media: All of Concord College organizations are inviting media to come to our Box City. Gamma Beta Phi will be providing food and refreshments after 12:00 pm. There will be a Town Hall were all media can come and find out more information about the Box City and Scotty’s Place.
