Dr. Lee Willis Provides Scholarship for Concord Students

Athens, W.Va. - Dr. Lee Willis, chiropractor and business leader in Princeton provided the annual contribution to the Jerry Ray Willis Chiropractic Scholarship Fund at Concord College on Friday, October 5. Concord President Jerry L. Beasley and Vice President for Development J. Douglas Machesney accepted the gift on behalf of the College.

The scholarships are awarded to pre-chiropractic students who maintain a 3.0 grade point average or better. Students must be residents of southern West Virginia or southwestern Virginia and have a financial need as determined by the College’s financial aid office.

Willis hosts an annual golf tournament in Wytheville each spring and invites business leaders and College supporters. Funds from the tourney provide much-needed financial assistance to the pre-chiropractic students.

“My mother and father both attended Concord,” stated Dr. Willis. “Our family supports the College because they provide quality educational opportunities to residents of southern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia, and they maintain high academic ideals and standards.”
