Workshop on Minority Group Relations Offered by Concord
Athens, W.Va. - The Social Work Department of Concord College will be offering a workshop in minority group relations from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2001.
The workshop will cover the interlocking nature of oppression stemming from ethnicity, race, age, gender, religion and sexual orientation. Cost for the workshop is $40.00 per individual for single registration. The deadline for enrolling in the workshop is Friday, September 28, 2001.
Students will receive six continuing education credits for the workshops. Seating is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Dr. Danette Light will conduct the workshop in conference room ABC in the College Center.

Concord College Notes: The Concord College social work program has been the only accredited social work program in southern West Virginia for over 25 years and is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Last year 32 students graduated from the college’s social work program with 94% employed and 6% attending graduate school.
