Interested in Human Behavior and Helping Others? Then Attend the Concord College Social Work Open House in Beckley

Athens, W.Va. - Concord College will be hosting an open house, Wednesday, August 15, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Concord College Beckley Center, 219 North Kanawha Street, Beckley, W.Va. Refreshments will be served.

The open house is open to all who are interested in pursuing social work as a career. Faculty members and college representatives will be available to answer questions. The open house is also open to students who are currently enrolled in Concord’s social work program.

Career options for social work graduates are excellent and include placement in fields such as criminal justice and family and children’s services, as well as domestic violence, aging, therapy, counseling, research, and other human service categories. Concord’s graduates earn placement from a wide variety of agencies and organizations nationwide.

The Concord College social work program has been the only accredited social work program in southern West Virginia for over 25 years and is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Last year 32 students graduated from the college’s social work program with 100% employment or acceptance into graduate school. All required social work classes are taught on the Beckley campus.
