Concord College Students/Flood Victims May Request Re-Evaluation of Financial Aid
Athens, W.Va. - Concord College Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid, Michael Curry, announced that the College is willing to review the financial applications of any students who were affected by the July 8 flood that devastated many parts of southern West Virginia. Students seeking the special assistance will need to respond immediately.
“Students need to provide a copy of their FEMA claims acknowledgement and/or any insurance paperwork, specifically indicating the exact damages incurred and the costs of repairs. Some students may qualify for additional financial assistance based on revising their applications with the latest information and our office is set up to help,” stated Curry. President Beasley challenged the members of his cabinet last week to develop ways to help flood victims and this is one of the ways the College can help new and/or current students who were affected by the flood.
Students need to bring copies of their official paperwork detailing the damages to the Financial Aid Office, located on the 2nd floor in College Center (down the hall from the cafeteria).
