Calling All Concord Alumni: Join Alumni Chapter for Evening Entertainment

Athens, W.Va. - You and your family are cordially invited to one of southern West Virginia's finest attractions. Join the Southern West Virginia Chapter of the Concord College Alumni Association for An Evening at Theatre West Virginia featuring the special summer production, The Sound of Music: The Story of the Trapp Family Singers with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II.

When a postulant (nun-in-training) proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern captain.

The College’s alumni chapter will meet Friday, July 20, 2001 at Theatre West Virginia’s Cliffside Amphitheatre, Grandview near Beckley, West Virginia. The chapter will meet at the picnic area at the top of the amphitheatre at 7:00 p.m. Showtime is 8:15 p.m., and the cost will be $14.00 per person for adults and $7.00 for children.

Please RSVP to the Concord College Alumni Office by Wednesday, July 18. Call 1-304-384-5348 or 6056 or e-mail alumni@concord.edu for additional information.
