Concord College Announces Summer Schedule for 2001

Athens, W.Va. - Registration for the first summer term in Athens will be Friday, May 25, 2001. Students may sign up and pay fees in Marsh Hall (the administration building) beginning at 8:30 a.m. First time enrollees are to report to the admissions office, room 206, located in Marsh Hall. A $25 late registration fee goes into effect on May 31.

Classes in the five-week first term begin on the Athens campus May 29. Most Athens campus summer classes are taught Mondays through Thursdays.

Registration for the second summer term is scheduled for June 29 with classes meeting from July 2 through August 3.

After-class activities funded by the student’s summer activity fee include free transportation to a Princeton Devil Rays baseball game, free snacks and refreshments on Wednesdays, and a summer social evening picnic.

Signup for Concord summer classes in Beckley is currently underway Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Beckley Center of Concord College is located at 219 North Kanawha Street. First summer term classes will begin on Tuesday, May 29 and end on Friday, June 29. Second summer term classes begin on Monday July 2 and end on Friday, August 3.

No classes will be held Wednesday, July 4, on either campus in observance of Independence Day. Book purchases may be made prior to the start of summer school. Payment is due on or before the first day of class.
