Business Students Bring Home Wins for Concord
Athens, W.Va. - The Concord College chapter of Phi Beta Lambda attended the West Virginia Phi Beta Lambda 2000 State Leadership Conference on April 8 at WVU-Institute of Technology in Montgomery, W.Va. Seven colleges throughout the state competed in competitions designed to foster business leadership skills. Ten students represented Concord College in the conference, with several bringing home awards in a wide variety of categories. Organizational advisors Dr. Kendra Boggess and Ms. Susan Robinett also attended.

Impromptu Speaking -- 1st place -- Eric Priddy, Beckley, W.Va.
Information Management -- 2nd place -- Marlena Hicks Gill, Hinton, W.Va.

Concord student Masha Savelieva was also elected the State Vice President. First and second place winners are eligible to compete in the National Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference.
