McDowell Countian Holds Recital at Concord
Athens, W.Va. - Concord student James E. Cline will present his senior recital Sunday, April 30, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. in M-105 at the Alexander Fine Arts Center.
James Cline is graduating this December and has written several compositions for his senior performance. He came to Concord College after graduating from Iaeger High School. Most of the compositions are products of personal experiences that he had while growing up in Panther, W.Va. He discovered the power of music at the age of ten and honed his talents throughout high school and college. James believes that music is not merely a plaything but a powerful expressive instrument. He credits the people around him and his experiences in McDowell County for his talents. James hopes to secure a job in the public school system and plans to receive a doctorate in the future.
